Water & Oxygen are our two most important elements for survival.

Our bodies are over 70% water.  Water performs many important functions, including:

  • Carries nutrients in the body
  • Lubricates joints
  • Helps regulate body temperature
  • Cleanses the body's waste products
  • Excretes wastes through the urine
  • Acts as a solvent to dissolve and carry
    many substances (minerals, proteins,
    carbohydrates, and vitamins)

EVERYDAY GUIDELINE FOR WATER CONSUMPTION

Your Current Weight divided by 2 = amount of ounces per day

GUIDELINE FOR WORKOUT WATER CONSUMPTION

  • Drink 17 ounces of water before your workout - about 2 hours before
  • Drink 8 ounces or more before you workout - 15 minutes before
  • Drink 4-8 ounces during your workout - every 10-20 minutes
  • Drink another 8 ounces after your workout
