Proper Breathing Technique


This is the single most important technique to learn and execute correctly.  If done incorrectly, the abdomen will protrude instead of flattening.

Most people breathe incorrectly so this will take practice at first and eventually will come second nature.  

This technique can be done anywhere and at anytime.  You can do this stand up or sitting down as well as laying down which is mentioned below.

 

  1. Start by lying on your back on the floor with your knees bent and on the floor.
  2. Inhale deeply with your stomach pushing the air out.  This means push your stomach out as you inhale.
  3. Exhale, squeezing your stomach flat (in) as if you are squeezing your stomach to your back.
  4. Repeat Steps 2 & 3 15 times.
